Dr Jonathan Crane is the self-proclaimed “Master of Fear”. Labelled “The Scarecrow”, he is an obsessive and deranged ex-professor of psychology in Gotham City, who uses a variety of experimental drugs, potions and psychological tactics to exploit the phobias of his victims. He is one of Batman’s most enduring enemies and a feared character in the DC Comics world. Appearing in many movies, TV shows and video Games, Scarecrow is best known for his use of farm tools as weapons and a “straw-like” mask – ironically, he also has a fear of birds! A villain in Warner Bros movies Batman Begins (2005), The Dark Knight (2008), The Dark Knight Rises (2012), Batman: Arkham Asylum (2009) and Batman: Arkham City (2011) he is one villain you do not want to encounter as you stroll around the farmyard.
